I'm a senior myself and I love making elder Sims to play.
I think if you are a Sims elder you should have an automatic cooking skill.
Good grief, I mean when you've lived long enough to be an elder you should have some sort of life experience, knowledge and know how, so a life reward skills set like cooking, baking, etc would be awesome.
I knit, and I love the knitting in the game.
I wish the create Sims didn't jump from adult to elder. It should go from adult to senior then elder. It's only fair.

@rebclark I absolutely agree about the cooking skill! When I'm playing a prebuilt family (e.g. the Goths) or a family I made in CAS, if there are two parents and a child I give them at least level 3 or 4 in cooking, and elders deserve even higher! Presumably they didn't eat only animal crackers and take-out their entire lives! :D
And yes, more life stages in the game would be awesome!
