Empty houses no one moving in

I noticed since 2017 that after a PC family passes away or leave the houses,  the houses are empty for ever and no one moves in for a long time. my game is almost empty cuz all houses and apartment are empty with no one moving in. let alone no one creating their own families in a suitable home.  I have fill houses setting on tho.

  • @NissanFan89 The houses in your active neighborhood only will refill at the rate of one family per week. The other neighborhoods where everyone has died will never refill unless you have a sim family active in the world. The game does start to feel very empty, especially working through the legacy or alphabet legacy achievements.

I liked the idea of The Sims 3 open world with houses refilling n what not.  makes me want explore and meet more sims. especially if its Lore or easter or just to have interesting sims move in more.  but the rate of it of refilling houses in that game is too constant or something.

I recommend looking into the MC Command Center mod for this. It adds this sort of story progression to the game, houses filling up, townies getting married and having children, etc. It's very very customizable. Down to number of children, if they should have affairs or not, etc. There are a lot of settings, but there are several tutorials on YouTube for example. Google it and you'll also find instructions on how to download. (It's free, naturally). It's updated every once in a while, especially after new game updates, but it's possible to keep the setting files between each update. I play generationally and I can't play without it, cause my neighborhood would die out if I did. I want playmates for my sims children!
