@amjoie Hi! I don't know if this is a "bug" but I would prefer the proposal / engagement ring to stay on the ring finger. I tested it in an un-modded save and found something similar. The main difference is that, during the proposal, the ring appeared to be the display instead of the actual ring. Regardless, it does appear to be on the left hand ring finger.
A bit later during the proposal, this disappeared altogether.
After the proposal animation finished, the ring appeared on the sim's left hand middle finger.
This ring is the Lunar Goddess ring using Death Metal and a Diamond.
EDIT: I also thought I should mention that when I first created a ring and had the sim wear it, the ring showed up on the left hand middle finger. I suspect what is happening is that this is the default position for crafted rings. Again, it would be better for an engagement ring to appear on the ring finger.
@JonaO703 Thank you for testing! It is good to know this is happening on more than one style ring. That is what I wanted to know.
It is interesting that you noticed the ring on the engagement finger during the proposal animation is a display ring and not the actual crafted ring. If this is a glitch, that may be involved in the issue.
But it may also mean that the coder never intended the actual ring to ever be on the engagement finger ....
I think the only way we will know if this is intentional or a problem is to get the answer from someone at EA, and I have no idea how to go about that.
But I most certainly agree with you that an engagement ring belongs on the engagement finger. 🙂
@JonaO703 I think your Sim is wearing the ring still in its case during the proposal animation. 😮
