enough space for sims 4 with mods

is the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15.6" Laptop - 6405U/1TB HDD/8GB enough space for the sims 4 game and mods

  • @selssymoyin  The 1 TB hard drive has more than enough space for Sims 4 and all the mods you could download, yes.  However, the processor in the laptop is somewhat weak for Sims 4, and the graphics chip integrated into the processor is below the minimum requirements.  I doubt the laptop has a dedicated graphics card, so you'd be stuck trying to play on the chip.

You may be able to do better for your money.  If you'd like other suggestions, let me know your budget and country, as well as any other details that matter to you, and I can take a look.

@selssymoyin  Sorry for the late reply.  It might have been good though—I just saw this laptop for $500 on clearance, and it's actually a true gaming laptop, one capable of running Sims 4, all packs included, on high graphics settings.  It also has a good processor, enough RAM, and plenty of storage.  The model is a few years old, but the laptop itself is new and should work fine.

If you're looking for a new model, your options are much more limited.  This is the best option I saw for $500 or less, and it's probably only going to be capable of medium settings at best, although it should still be okay.

Something in the middle, and a bit cheaper, is this used laptop from a seller on Best Buy.  Its graphics card is a bit slower than the one in the first laptop but still much faster than the graphics chip in the second laptop.  Its hard drive is small but still large enough for Sims 4, and the drive is a lot faster than the one in the one in the other models.  To be clear, Sims 4 would still run fine on any kind of drive; it's just that Windows would run faster, and most apps would load faster too.

@selssymoyin  The link isn't working for me either, so I checked the site, and it looks like the laptop isn't available anymore.  It's possible it sold out, or even that the entry wasn't supposed to be up in the first place.

Either way, I guess that laptop is unfortunately no longer available, sorry.

@selssymoyin  It was an MSI, I'm not sure the exact model, but it had an i7-6700HQ processor, an Nvidia 960M graphics card, I believe 8 GB RAM, and a 1 TB mechanical hard drive (HDD).  And yes, I remember all the specs just from looking at it once.
