Events do not show up

I've taken out mods and CC, and there's a bug that's preventing me from seeing any events even when I'm playing vanilla. Not dates. Not holidays. Not events. I don't see it in the corner where they're supposed to be and when I've tried setting up dates using Cupid's Corner, none of the event tasks show up. I've tried repairing the game and the app recovery. Nothing has worked. It's really frustrating because I actually wanted to participate in the log in event coming up for the new pack. It used to be that I got events all the time, now there's the opposite which is worse because at least before I could see the event tasks. Now, I have nothing. This only started happened AFTER the update last week

    HI 2tiredtolive​ 

    Try the following

    - Close the game
    - Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    - Repair the game
    - Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. 
    - Start a new save game
    - Check if you still have the error
    - Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
