Fastforward Bug

When I am in live mode, after about 15 seconds, when I attempt to speed up the game, my Sim continues to move around. When I try to pause forward, the game remains at 3x speed. After this occurs, I cannot click on the Sim, and the game just freezes, and I have to use Task Manager to exit the game...

I tried updating - didn't work

I tried creating a new, fresh The Sims 4 folder - didn't work

updating/removing mods and CC - didn't work

PLEASE help me, I almost lost 6+ hours of gameplay, and this has happened before, too

    I just encountered this bug right now after the latest update. (2026-02-04)
    The game freezes exactly the same as in that video, you can't interact with any objects or sims, it just keeps going at 3x speed and nothing is happening.

    I have to force quit the game via task manager. 

    I can't play anymore and I am afraid that the bug is not going away. I payed a lot of money for the game over the years and it's infuriating that this happens. We should be at least able to downgrade the game to the last version. So at least would be able to play..
