@simsplayer818 thank you for replying.
I have a house full of decor for every mood (when you enter build mode on a vacant lot all items are unlocked you dont even need cheats). So i know this trick.
I need my sim to stay focused while at work (passive), so when i make him work hard his work performance meter will fill up in one day. he gets a raise every day!
I have that working already for my scientist sim i just dont know how i made that happen. I need ways to get focused for an entire or even most of a 7-9 hours work day. So what im looking for are interactions with long term effects.

@Aceeee82 I add these things around the science lab and other active career locations too to create a focused environment. But if you're talking about when you don't follow them to work then I send my Sims to work focused after watching the plasmatron TV or something like that. Some career tasks have moodlets attached so if you send them to work take a look at the options and see if any add a focused moodlet if you choose them.
I don't know if you've ever used Carl's Sims Guides but he has comprehensive career guides with tips, including moods. His guides are really reliable and he has them for all careers.
As for pushing for promotions all day I can't do that now since adding Growing Together as my Sims get Burnout if they work too hard! But with active careers I don't get that if I go to work with them.
You can add the Entrepreneurial reward trait to help them get promoted faster too. You'll know already I'm sure that completing their assigned daily task in the career panel helps too as well as good relationships with colleagues.
