For the attention of EA – I am sitting here appalled at the audacity you have thinking we, the consumers are happy to part with our money on new packs when you have left the gallery in such a disarray that it is barely functioning. I am so disappointed that a company as big as you, is more interested in the big bucks sign dangling in front of your face than us, the people who line your pockets. Maybe you should read and fix these bug reports before expecting anyone to purchase any more packs or kits. You made this mess, now it should be you who cleans it up.

On a more positive note, I am thankful that you have fixed the disconnecting issue, the gallery does work better on that front. The main part that I am ecstatic about is the “bad actors” can no longer increase their own DL numbers, this is a major breakthrough and you should be applauded on that.

Hey all,

Closing this thread down as it has turned into a bit of a collection of different issues. Please see the latest patch notes here for updates on issues resolved with the Gallery:

Duplicate items should not appear in the Gallery when scrolling through the creations anymore. This won’t affect duplicates if someone has uploaded the same item multiple times, so no need to check your settings.

Reporting a comment on the Gallery will no longer hide the entire upload from your view but will hide the comment from your view as intended; the comment continues through the reporting system to be reviewed and actioned where needed.

Reported Comments in the Gallery will not display if you enable the Hide Reported Content setting in Game Options > Other

Favoriting items in the Gallery should correctly reflect with the green heart icon even if you restart The Sims 4 or delete your local files.

Trending Hashtags have been reenabled and should help you find new and interesting content.

Downloads and Favorite counts should count higher than 1 now, in fact it should be accurate as well.

Searching for Gallery creations by EA Account ID should return the results you were expecting.

Web Gallery commenting has been re-enabled for those who like to browse the Gallery while away from the game - https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/pc/gallery

Searching by Item Name should feel more like it used to when using multiple words. We have returned to AND operators instead of OR operators.

This means if you search for the words Cat Dog, you will get results where Cat and Dog appear in the Item name, not results where only Cat or Dog was used.

You will also see results that are not an exact to the word you searched, for example Cat will show items that used the word Cat or Cats included in the name.

@InaMac I agree wholeheartedly. The gallery is a huge mess and that is a fact! But what angers me most is that EA is totally ignoring us, their paying customers!!! I for one will not shell out a single penny on kits or whatever until they deem it necessary to communicate!

@nengster65 Absolutely agree with you both. I've heard from quite a few people who don't want to spend any more money until this gallery is fixed and me first.

@cannelle1212 I too have had numerous people tell me the same, a lot have left the gallery already, some are talking of leaving the sims altogether

@InaMac Totally agree with you. But I think that when we want to penalize fraudsters we don't penalize everyone! And if the dollar symbol appears in front of their face, it's actually thanks to us players! I did not buy the last two kits for this and even if it pains me I will not take them

This is NOT an internet issue!! This has affected numerous simmers across the world, I have a very fast & reliable internet connection. This is more likely an error caused by you during the update on 30th May.

I 100% agree with @InaMac. Thank you for fixing the ability to cheat downloads, but that also led to a number of other problems that made the gallery unusable. Us simmers do not ask for a whole lot, and the one time we do ask for something to be fixed you guys are barely even saying anything. Do you know how messed up you left the gallery? And you really think that we are going to buy your new packs when you aren't doing anything about the situation. I'm extremely shocked that you really tried to tell us it was an internet issue and that it's not your fault. I hope you realize that all of these issues started appearing AFTER your little update. It has also affected the majority of simmers across the world, is this an internet issue? I don't think so.

All the simmers have the same issues, and some have more than others, not less. This needs to be fix before to sell a new pack. This is very shocking mostly with all the money we put in that game. We want a fonctionnal and fun game, yes, but also a good fonctionnal and fun gallery.
Many of us are mostly creators and love to share their creations, so people that just want to have good contents download them on the gallery, so it needs to work well. But now, all is broken and more and more players are very upset.

In over 20 years of supporting the Sims Franchise and investing literally Millions of hours in quality content creation, I've never seen a catastrophic mess of this magnitude. It's absolutely shameful at this stage in their evolution. For the first time, the team has Succeeded in obliterating the track records of their gaming community and given us all a valid reason to abandon the Sims altogether.
Given the current state of attack, nationwide, on the LGBTQ+ Community, and EAs strong support for the LGBTQ+ Community, this level of failure at this time seems tantamount to sabotage. Or maybe you're just tired. It happens.

On a Positive Note:
You have really knocked it out of the park on your last several packs and all; wiping away the tears of your hungry, squalling masses. So, Bravo! It has been a pleasure to witness your Successes.

Please FIX This. Will Wright's Legacy will thank you.

This is just shocking. With all the money i have spent on every game in the colection. And you do us like this. If this problem isn't fixed soon your going to lose millions of customers. And what make is worse is your twitter EA help. lol what a joke blaming all this on our internet.
Please fix our gallery before this gets out of hand.

This has been the EA way for as long as I can remember. ALWAYS blame the customer. Any time I had any game breaking bugs in TS3 it was always "it's your mods, it's your hardware, it's just you."
I, like many others here, have played this franchise for long enough to know when it's a mod problem and when it is a game problem. The kind of garbage we still deal with in TS4 is very clearly a game problem and they refuse to acknowledge it. It took them, what, 6 years? to fix the alien face glitch. Even now, the science career's robot inventor is still broken as of TODAY. I mean it was the very first pack for goodness sake. That pack has been out a year short of a decade.
Unfortunately people will talk big game about being disappointed in EA, TS4, and the litany of packs they've shoved down our throats, and then still bring out their wallet because of horses of all things. EA will continue to milk us and they will continue to blame us for their game being broken.
