I've been having the same problem with Freelancer tech guru work since the last update. My Sim can do the last step in the job a number of times but the only solution is to delete the job.
I tried removing my mods and trying again but the problem persists.

This bug was fixed via a December 2019 patch.
If you are still having trouble please start a new thread including details on what happens.
Your system used PC Mac or Console to play and use of mods or cc will also be important.
