Sims 4 can't sign into Gallery

HI there,

To preface, I am not overly familiar with the EA app so I'm sorry if I don't know the names of things.

So when I load my EA app, the right hand column says "Connection Failed". I noticed this a while ago, but I don't interact with that column anyways, so paid it no mind. However today in game, I tried to access the gallery and it would not sign me in. I waited a long time, there was no error message, it just didn't do anything. 

After a bit of Google-ing, I have tried signing out and signing back in. I have tried restarting the app - my app appeared to update but still it doesn't work. I have tried the App Recovery tool and deleted all the cache and nothing. Would love some advice please, thank you so much.

    Sounds like it’s not connecting to the internet, or at least not well. Is it only the EA App that can’t connect? Your browser, for example, works fine on the same computer? When you signed out and back in - it still said connection failed?
