Freely Rotate not working: PC

So, since I'm finally on this forum, thought I would ask this as this has been a long time issue of mine. I am unsure if anyone else has had this issue, or if there is a solution to this. Any suggestions?

What have I tried:
Alt+ left drag
Alt+ right drag
Alt+ middle drag
Alt+ Shift+ left drag
All with bb.moveobjects on. Bb.moveobejects does work, as I can freely place items, but not freely rotate them.

If you are not in Sims 3 camera mode, change to that and see if the issue remains.

To rotate items on pc, click on/select the item, then click on the period button to rotate clockwise or comma button to rotate it anti clockwise.
To freely rotate the item, left click on and hold the item with your mouse, then hold down alt key as you turn the item with your mouse.Then let go of the left mouse button when it is at the right position.

As stated before, that method is not working for me, sadly.

Oh my goodness thank you so much. Whenever I looked this up, it never mentions the camera need to be changed. Thank you again and have a lovely resy of your day.

YOU HAVE SOLVED MY PROBLEM! I have been unable to rotate objects for the last 4 years!!! No where states that this camera mode needs to be turned on!!! Thank you so much!!! WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!
