Been there, done that myself. So if you can't go back to an earlier save, you can do this, assuming that you didn't customize the apartment. Or even if you did.
Start a new save by starting a new game at the Main Menu, then go to the apartment that lost the furniture in build mode. Save each room to your library. Then exit that save back to the Main Menu.
Start the save where you lost the furniture, then go to the apartment in build mode and replace the rooms with those you just saved in your library. When you're done, you will have a furnished apartment again.

- Psychotps5 years agoSeasoned Ace@MiaLazova The main thing they're getting at is if you have ANY save that has the apartment how you like it, load THAT save and save the apartment rooms to your library. Once that's done, load the one where your SIM is good, but the apartment is empty and re-place the rooms from your library.

Well, since you redid the lot, then you will have to do it again if you do not have another save with the customized apartment in it. What I suggested is mainly to get an apartment furnished again just as it was when you started with that game. It gives you back the apartment in it's initial. So that leaves you with a decision to either refurnish the empty apartment in your current save or start all over from scratch just like you did before. It comes down to which is easier for you to do.
