gallery corrupted/broken

The gallery opens as normal, but all the thumbnails are replaced with red x's and when I click them I get a popup saying "Item is corrupt. Would you like to remove it?" Nothing happens when I click either yes or no. This happens with all of the items in the gallery, including ones I uploaded. It does not affect my personal library. I have tried some simple solutions like removing mods, clearing caches, etc. I have also tried some more dramatic solutions, such as uninstalling the game, deleting all sims 4 related files, and reinstalling. I have tried to "repair the origin" also. Nothing has worked.
