I am currently experiencing this as well! I took all my mods out, it's playable for a good 20 minutes before the game becomes unplayable! I've done everything, deleted the cache, localthumbcache, slowly added mods then took them out and I've deleted the game and reinstalled. 

Did you ever solve it? This has been going on for over a week!
