Game telling me to update but it is up to date

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Version 1.107.112.1230
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except fitness stuff and Star Wars pack
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just open up the game
What happens when the bug occurs? First thing that pops up is: UPDATE YOUR GAME Due to ongoing maintenance of EA App, older versions of the game will become incompatible after June 10. Update before then to keep launching your game normally!
What do you expect to see? My game is on the latest version, I would expect the notice to only show up on outdated games, and for people whose games are up to date, it should be more of a PSA like "just so you know, after June 10th you need to use the latest version of the game in order to play"
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I repaired the game but it did not fix the issue. I also don't have the login bonuses. Attached are two screenshots.

This is an informational pop-up just like the tweet EA made the other day or the post in discord.

Is any of you having issues actually launching the game ?

I agree that the wording could be better (just like the tweet could have been worded better) but that would be feedback.

It is important that you have your game updated by June 10th. If you already did so, you're all good and there's nothing you need to do (unless there's plans of another update between now and June 10th)

There was just a new patch. Guessing that's the mandatory one.

Clearing up some stuff as per tweets

You need to update your game to the current game version (currently 1.107.151/1.93) or you can't play after June 10th (online or offline)

After June 10th, you are forced to update your game if you haven't done so to the latest available version at that date

This is a one time mandatory patch. There have been mandatory patches before when there are big changes coming.

The EA app says to update my game or it'll be obsolete on the 10th but it is set to update automatically in setting. I also have no mods.

my game keeps popping up a update game before time runs out on june 10th. i have all updates so im wondering what to do

this is happening to me too, im not sure but i think its just on everyones page but its just directed at the people that dont have the update yet, not sure tho

This is the exact same issue I am having. I also tried repairing the game. I do have CC in the game, but it worked fine. The orange box asking to update before June 10 is scary. I have all packs.

Similar situation happens for me on my older pc only (so far). Older pc was a higher end gaming pc when purchased and still plays sims 3 with all packs enabled and no significantly noticeable lag
I have all Sims 4 (and every other iteration as well) releases except the most recent two kits from a few days ago.

fully updated and no new options to update
repaired this morning because of this
neither computer has mods at the moment although I do tend to usually play with mccc and some from LittleMsSam

From what I'm seeing across forums, this is actually pretty prevalent, and it sounds like it might not actually be a game issue, just an FYI that pops up on launch regardless. I have it, too, but there's really nothing else to indicate I need to do anything, so I'm just ignoring the popup. Guess we'll see 😅

I too have just experienced this issue but on top of that my homepage loads as if I'm offline and when I try to open the gallery it either says I'm offline or takes forever to load while the background music plays like the worst DJ ever. I have cleared the cache on EA app and even went on to the EA site to repair the app. I haven't repaired the game yet because I feel it's an app issue as I can still play and it works fine. Frustrating.

@JessycazI think that's just a general message they pushed out to everyone, regardless of whether or not the game's updated. Unless there's anyone who doesn't have it?

It’s not happening on the new 1 month old gaming computer, only the older one. I wasn’t all that worried because the older one will be played off-line and mainly used for previous sims iterations (2 and 3 as I’m still trying to get Sims 1 working). The new computer is the one I will use for Sims 4. It’s just the momentary panic and uncertainty that poorly worded generic message caused.
Surely it is possible for EA to only send that message to accounts that don’t have the updated games. It is probably better to send as an email given how many players play their games off-line for whatever reason, or are not playing currently due to RL circumstances. At least then they the non-updated targeted sector will be notified of this issue and can take steps to rectify if possible.
There are players who are unable to access their games at the moment due to RL circumstances eg hospitalisation, travel….
Hopefully there will be an easy fix to retro-update rather than having to uninstall and reinstall the ea app (hopefully without losing all the purchased releases) if you able to update for whatever reason. I foresee another mess ahead!
