Game won't progress pass loading screen.
Hello, I'm hoping this forum can help, because I'm at a loss. I have a 'super sim' save file I've been working on for a few years, and recently it stopped progressing through the loading screens dur...

First step is for this is to find out if it's the Sims causing the issue or the house. For troubleshooting, make sure to work on a backup of your save game.
To do so, move them to a different house and try to load them. Vice versa try to load a different Sim in that lot. This will give a pointer.
Also
Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?
Best is to delete the ones you have, then trigger the error and check if new ones are created.
If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.
Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Uploading the file is meant for troubleshooting.

Thanks for your quick response. I did have a lastexception file and I deleted it before booting up the game yesterday. Then I played all day without a single issue (for the first time in weeks) I'll keep working on this save over the next couple days and report back.
