Glitch with detective clues, makes arresting the right suspect impossible

So I'm playing the detective career in GTW and my Sim started gathering clues together to call an APB and go arrest the suspect. Her clues were that the suspect was both a teen and possessed the Ambit...

My clues were always right during like 10 cases but now I'm stuck, the suspect just isn't created by the game it seems, townies show me directions but there is no one there. What a mess.
