Glitch with detective clues, makes arresting the right suspect impossible

So I'm playing the detective career in GTW and my Sim started gathering clues together to call an APB and go arrest the suspect. Her clues were that the suspect was both a teen and possessed the Ambit...

I had this happens and it was the red haired girl who was my partner sorta. She was tampering with evidence it was her all long. Look or a sim that keeps looking around really suspishishly even if it is a coworker.
