[GRO] Took infant on vacation, saved, can't return to Granite Falls
My family of three, two adults one infant, went to vacation in Granite Falls. I couldn't figure out how to get a crib into the large tent, so I took my sims to visit a house we weren't renting. My Sims promptly dumped the infant on the floor and went their separate ways. As a result, because the infant was on unowned property, I couldn't get to it, so neither Sim could click on it to pick it up.
Desperate, I saved and returned to the main menu. When I reloaded, I wound up in a state where I couldn't go to the Sims' home lot (because they weren't there) but I couldn't get to Granite Falls, because you can't get there from the Main Menu. I just went back to an earlier save, but are you supposed to be able to save a session while you're on vacation? If so, how do you return to the vacation lot?
In general, I'm not sure you should take an infant on Vacation, because there's no way to get a changing table.
@MmeHardy to return to your Sim who is on vacation you just select their household, it then shows you that they are on another lot and brings up each individual, like when travelling. You then pick a Sim and it will take you to them. Alternatively you can just press Play on the homescreen and it will take you to the last point and should load your household wherever it is.
If you end the vacation by sending one of your Sims home with "Send Home from Vacation", then when your Sim gets home, select each family members image on the lower left hand side of the screen in turn to bring them all home if you have one stuck somewhere.
That's what works for me, I'm on console.
