I was just having the same problem, but I fixed it, and now I feel like I need to share.
Have your sim go to a dresser and press 'Plan Outfit.' You can either change their sleepwear or just change the color of it, and your sims should be able to sleep again.
I hope people who have this problem are able to find this, 'cause this was the only thing that fixed it, yet I couldn’t find this solution ANYWHERE.
