I'm having this problem too. A customer will come up to the stand, open some sort of bottle and throw it all over the food on the table. Then everything goes bad.
The only way I managed to stop this was to go into manage worlds and manage households, find the sim responsible and delete her.
I have about 5 games with food stands, but have only had this problem in one of them.
