Help . . Please!!

I built a loft in the Sims. Everything was running smoothly, I had an earthquake and now my lights only work from 10pm to 5am. I've tried everything to get them on during the day and nothing is working. I've tried auto-lights, buying different lights. I've also done the repair option, shut everything down etc.. I've checked all the lot traits. I've checked if my roof is all intact and it is. I'm literally stumped! Any help would be great!

Super scared to do anything as the last issues I had resulted in my whole game being deleted and me starting all over. :)

Ahh I figured it out, i had built a window roof and it didn't recognise it as a closed room, hence the outside! Thank you! 🥰

It sounds like there is something in the loft that is causing it to work as outdoors lighting does. I am not sure what may be causing the issue but perhaps try checking that there are no missing parts of the roof or any ceiling that extends outside.
