Hidden Mess!
My sims are forever uncomfortable in the upstairs living room because of trash somewhere. I imagine it’s a pile of pet fur. The place is so cluttered, rugs all over the floors... how do I find this s...

A few things to check:
1: Do you have Parenthood installed? One issue I've found with dirty objects is a glitched "plate" hidden under one of the placemats for a dining table; see if you can have a Sim remove placemats to find an errant plate hidden under one of them; I've found that to be the culprit more than once. Sims for some reason can't retrieve this plate because another object is on top of it, so removing the placemat via a Sim will reveal it, then you can remove it.
2: Check the walls for shelves and surfaces using a full-wall view; see if there's an errant cup or plate on one of these; there's an issue where Sims will somehow place an object up on a shelf they can't actually reach, then when they go to clean it up, they can't because it's out of reach. It will still affect the room's environment, so removing it manually resolves the issue.

IT WAS THE FISH TANK!! I moved my vampire family out of that penthouse, and into the cute smaller one with the pool on the ground floor. (I didn’t even know it was there til I went looking for a classy apartment), and everything was fine...
until I turned Vlad into a ghost cause he was annoying me with how he STILL makes everyone negative with that darn hissing he does, despite having the friendly vampire aspiration trait, and no hissing vampire trait : he’s a bugged out Vamp- still reacts negatively to his wife romantically interacting with others despite having the player trait (on everyone including Vlad)
ANYWAY- I went to go make Ambrosia cake for when I wanna revive him, so I had to get into build mode and deposit my fish tank which had the spare angel fish in it, as well as two Koi and a vampire squid.
Suddenly, everyone starts getting the uncomfortable trash moodlet again, and there’s still no obvious trash. So I remove the fish tank, I had a sneaking suspicion... next thing I know, their negative moodlet is GONE UUUUUGH!
Ive never had a trash moodlet around a fish tank, despite putting “foul” fish in them before.
Do you think it could be the vampire squid? I’ll have to experiment...
@KushKylie, thanks for replying!!! 🙂 How interesting! 🤓 I don't think I've ever put a foul fish in the fish tank before, so I can't really say...🤔 Perhaps they changed it in one of the updates? 🤔 I don't think it would matter which species of fish it was if all of them were foul. I have never read of or experienced a fish that was automatically foul when you caught it . 🤒 At least you now know what was the cause! :eahigh_file: I might have to try that out! 😃
- I didn’t notice if any were foul upon catching them, but it never used to matter if you put foul fish in the fish tank- they’d just come back to life. I’ll take all the fish out one by one and see what happens... but it was definitely the fish tank.
