Households disappearing

I have gotten rid of all of my ghosts as well as deleting many randomly generated townies. as of right now I haven’t noticed anymore disappearing households, I am however still not getting any neighborhood stories i usually rely on them to let couples I put together have children but i haven’t received any neighborhood stories in many sim days which never used to happen.
I'm not exactly sure how neighborhood stories work in full games, maybe they do get less. Not sure though. Maybe someone else knows.
Well I’ve had this save like I said for a long time since I think 2022 and personally I’ve always had a lot of neighborhood stories like 3-5 a night. When I turn off aging to allow my heir to get through college the stories will slow, normally in stuff like having babies because their are so many babies in game already not aging. I would still get stories just a little less particularly in that area but the rest were still in tact, but now like I said it will go days with no stories at all and the only stories I do receive will be 1 or 2 just friendship changes.
Do they work properly on a new save ?
Started a test save and on the first night at 3am when stories come through I received 13 neighborhood stories of all kinds accidental deaths, moving, friendships, and adoption etc.
Does sounds like it's an issue with the save. I don't know if that's how it's supposed to work so maybe others can chime in that have equally big save games.
