How can I merge/combine two saved games?

So basically a week ago I made myself as a sim and I played on it. 2 days ago I wanted to add a family to my world so I made one and I played on it and did a lot of progress. But then the next time I wanted to play I realised there's two different games. How can I merge them or combine them into one game and not lose any progress?

    Open one game and save the household to your library.

    Now load the other and click new household. Import the saved household replacing the default Sim that was created and place them in the world.
