how did they get there ?

some times my Sims will not be at home when I fire up my game....they will be some weird random place just standing about looking daft. I will not have left them there they just

decide to take off and go there on their own ....this is another ...."is it just me "? moment? I have had a number of things like this that happen and I find them odd....or is it just me ?

  • @ieatgreenblood  No. you are not alone.  That's just the way the game works.  It will use some of your playable sims (when you aren't playing them) to fill out the crowd at various places like the gyms and bars and such.  It will use them as buskers, and people on the street.  It will use them as Day of the Dead Celibrants and venders at the Flea Market.  It will use them as Caterers and Bartenders at catered events.   Lots of other ways too.  But when it uses them in some of the those roles, a lot of the time it doesn't send them home so the next time you load their lot, they may be somewhere else.  Usually, they will return to the home lot almost immediately but sometimes not and you have bring them home by clicking on their greyed out portraits.

  • @ieatgreenblood Well, it will only do that if you play another household in the same world for a while. Your other sims DO tend to live their lives.

But if you play one household, save and exit the game, and then load the game and play the same household, you won't suddenly find them somewhere else. It only happens if you play a different houshold in the same world for a while.
