how do i open saved households sims 4

I just bought and downloaded the game yesterday. I couldnt find a way to try the game first on a Mac, so I went ahead and bought it. I made a Sim and played for HOURS and before cutting off the game I made sure to save the household or game or whatever it says before you exit. When I open the game it goes to making a new house, I've tried going to the gallery, but it just gives me the option to start over completely but with the Sim I made. PLEASE HELP ME or this was a total waste of money!!

    Did you try checking your library, if the pc or mac versions have that I play on console so that's what mine has it usually has all the saved households in your library and if you mean a save game it should just open where you left off when you select your save file. I hope this helped you if not sorry I couldn't be of more help.

    Did you click the continue button  Then on the world screen click your current household and then the play button.
