I know (nearly) everyone's game is broken and the EA and the SIMS won't really address it or give us any updates. This is (probably) impossible but is there ANY way to revert the game to the pre-July 23rd update????

@lisforhunt you would at the very least need to have an "unpatched" backup of the folder were the games program files are installed.
Typically it is C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4 but you can change this when you install from the EA App.
Not many people keep backups of this. A better upgrade disaster prevention plan is to disable automatic game updates in the EA App, and then use offline mode for a week or two until hotfixes can be made and mod makers have time to clear or update their mods (if you use PC or MAC).
