How do you get help with a game

In sims 4 I was playing another family and my female sim was pregnant and when I came back to them she had the baby. My settings are on only active household for aging and  the box is unchecked for aging un played households. What can I do to keep this from happing?

  • @bev6usa If I'm understanding your question correctly, ageing doesn't affect pregnancy and if you switch households while a Sim is pregnant they will have their baby anyway. Pregnancies don't pause while the household is unplayed

I don't know if there are mods to help if you are playing on PC as I'm on Console.

  • Hi @bev6usa Pregnancy isn't covered by the aging settings. For mod options, if you're not on console, you could use MC Command Center to extend the length of pregnancy to some ridiculously long number of days, but you would still need to trigger the birth, which is also possible with an MC Command Center cheat on an individual Sim.

I came back to the sim family I had played before and they had another baby. I didn't think it was supposed to do that.

  • @bev6usa if the Sim wasn't pregnant (or hadn't tried for a baby possibly) before switching it's only supposed to do that if you have neighbourhood stories set to allow for it. Have you double checked your settings? I have mine turned off altogether.
