How to breed cat (or raccoon)?

@catsareforever17there are 2 different kinds of hearts related to breeding. There are the ones that @crinrict mentioned which means the female cat (raccoon, dog, fox) can now have babies. 🙂 The female in heat will have thoughts of burning hearts, or hearts with 2 animals in it, and then she will "sing" with hearts coming out of her mouth and floating away. I'm not sure how long in the game a female remains in heat, but she will only be able to get pregnant while she is in heat. 😉
Also, there are the hearts that you mentioned with the male and female pet you are trying to breed who will also nuzzle each other. Those hearts mean that they are currently mating! ❤️However, if the female is not in heat, then no babies will result.
(FYI there is an issue with strays not being able to have babies, and if they do, not all of them show up. I don't think you have to worry about this in your case with the raccoons since those are made by you in CAP)! 😇

Thank you so much! I was really confused by how it worked and couldn't find any guides for it. Thanks! I guess it's just something I'll have to check for every sim day. I'll let you know if my raccoons get a liter!

Thanks again for the help! I just got two kittens (apparently the raccoons are cats? they can mate with cats at least). The kittens are cuties named Butter and Peanut Butter. Wished I knew the whole screenshots worked on the computer otherwise I would put one on here!

  I'm assuming that you know how to take a picture in the game? You can do it with the keyboard (press "c") or use the mouse to do it from the screen in the center of the controls display.
  To attach them to a post on this site, look below the box where you type your message; you will see a paperclip with a long, skinny box and a button that says "browse". Click on the "Browse..." button and your in-game pictures will come up (you can adjust how they are viewed from there -- I prefer bigger thumbnails to more easily find the picture I want to post). Scroll through your pics and select the one you want to include and then click on the "open" button and the text info for that picture will appear in the long skinny box next to the paperclip. You can do this 3 times in one post. Then submit your post as usual and when your post appears, the picture should be in it! 🥳 (The post will take a bit longer to display because of the picture). Here is an example of a pic with a momma dog and her 3 pups that I made in my game:
