how to create a mermaid

Question

I am crying and can't get help. I just need to know what to click on to create a mermaid in island living. I don't know how to use the forums. I am sobbing

@yeldah52, so far I've only made on in CAS when I started a new family.&nbsp; When you go into CAS, it will give you a default Sim.&nbsp; For now, ignore the default Sim and click on the buttons on the bottom left of the screen (I think it is a plus sign), and a little list pops up -- choose the icon that is like a swirl and says "Occult".&nbsp; From there (depending on which packs you have installed) you can choose between a Mermaid, An Alien, and a Vampire.&nbsp; Click on the Mermaid icon.&nbsp; From there you can make your Mermaid.&nbsp; (You can also now delete the other (default) Sim the game gave you when you entered CAS.)&nbsp;A Mermaid has 2 forms: a land form and a water form.&nbsp; You can link or unlink these forms (for example, you may want to have the ocean form have a different skin color or face shape, so you would unlink the forms.&nbsp; If you want both forms to have the same features (at least for upper body) you can link the forms. &nbsp;🙂There is also a way to become a Mermaid in-game with Mermadic Kelp, but I have not encountered that yet! &nbsp; When I find it, I will let you know!&nbsp;😉

Another option is to use a cheat code while in play mode 🙂traits.equip_trait trait_OccultMermaid&nbsp; &nbsp; this will change your Sim into a mermaid&nbsp;

@PugLove888&nbsp;gave a great answer! And @pinjantai&nbsp;has the right cheat… I'll add (mild spoilers!) that if you want to&nbsp;turn a sim into a mermaid, the easiest way is to purchase kelp from the aspirations reward store for 500 points! I And apparently, some people have been finding it in the grotto or other places as well!

Thank you&nbsp;@legasimmer&nbsp; and&nbsp;@pinjantai , for your additional tips. &nbsp; I especially wanted to know about how to obtain mermadic kelp that I heard a Sim Guru mention, but hadn't encountered it yet.&nbsp; I just assumed that it was somewhere in Sulani and didn't even think of the Aspiration reward.&nbsp;😉&nbsp; And thanks also for the cheat!&nbsp; Just keep in mind that sometimes with other types of "occult" Sim states , sometimes they don't work right when you get them through a cheat, so this could be the case with Mermaids too.&nbsp;🤔So,&nbsp;@yeldah52 , you now have 4 ways to become a Mermaid: in CAS, with the purchase of the Aspiration Reward, by finding it in the world in Sulani, and with a cheat!&nbsp;🥳
