How to Install the Base Game Patch . . .
I have no idea why EA switched from just installing the patches via the App, to their Discord. But while I was able to download it to my machine, I cannot, so far, install it into my game. Learning just today we have another one coming tomorrow, I really need to learn what I'm doing wrong. I can select it from my Download folder and Extract-All, but it won't install, giving me a message that something is blocking it. Please, help.
I tried placing it into the Mods folder at first. Then just today, after grabbing a fresh link from the Discord, I decided to just extract it into the Sims 4 folder. That also triggered the same message as before. What am I doing wrong?
I would greatly appreciate any and all help in this matter.

The Discord download is just a courtesy for cc/mod creators to get an early start on updating their mods before it's released.
The actual patch will be out for everyone via the EA App tomorrow :)
