Did they recently change this? I remember just typing in traits.remove_trait "traitname" and poof! Of course testingcheats on first ect ect...After the last patch it doesn't seem to work now? I've also tried traits.remove_trait trait "nameoftrait" to no avail! The trait I'm trying to remove is "loud" I know some traits will go away after doing certain things with the sim but for this one I'm not sure?

@Takata5 Hello! It's been a few days so I don't know if you figured this out already. I just wanted to share the cheat that is working for me. The syntax is slightly different where you have "trait" in front of "nameoftrait", this one does not.
So, instead of ...
traits.remove_trait trait childhoodphase_loud
Try this...
traits.remove_trait childhoodphase_loud
