Greetings, I reported these bugs sometime ago, and was hoping the last update would fix the problems, however (sad face) that's not the case. Bug 1; Missing festivals. So I get the festival prompt...

I am getting access denied to the bug report link from this comment and from the Sims4 website - I have a bug (I assume) where all of a sudden my sims inventory/fridge inventory items are there but undiscoverable to use ie. I have upgrade parts in my sims inventory but cannot upgrade my shower because "Your sim does not have the required upgrade parts" and I am trying to cook with simple living enables but none of my ingredients are available even though they are in the fridge - I have tried restarting but no joy
Seems you've been able to report your issue now.
Going to close this thread as it's 6 years old and a lot has changed since then.
