    Just realized - there never was a bug, I just didn't have enough money to enter any of the competitions 🥲 mystery solved I guess

The problem seems fixed now and I haven't been able to replicate it. It works fine in the save I was playing and in a new save I made to try.

      It does the same thing if you try to enter the same horse twice in one day. Weird, because The Sims has gotten pretty good about tool tips explaining things.
