[HSY] Prom not taking place but is showing in calendar (Patch 1.116)

As stated I cant attend prom and haven't been able to since purchasing it a month ago. The whole DLC is a bit glitchy. Thus far I have been prompted to go to prom but when I select the sims I want to go with nothing happens and the event disappears off calendar. Ive only been invited to a pre prom gathering once.  I attended then suddenly all the other sims disappeared to [prom I assume] and nothing else happened. I can see on social bunny that other sims are posting about prom so its happening somewhere ,but I cannot attend. Now it has gotten to the point I don't receive any notifications about any prom related event. I would really really appreciate some help.

Version:Console PS4

No Mods, CC, or Cheats

Attempted Troubleshooting: Going into gamplay options and enabling invites. 

 Deleteting other same day events.

Trying to request/start career day [I have not experienced this event either]

Showing up on campus just before the event.

Thanks for reading. If possible I'd also love to know how to trigger a career day. I genuinely feel like I'm not getting to enjoy any of this pack🥺😭

    Hi all,

    We believe this issue is due to the 'Allow Friendly Invites & Requests' setting being disabled in your Game Options.

    From Live Mode, please head into Game Options-> Gameplay and verify that you have Allow Friendly Invites & Requests enabled there.

    Once you’ve verified that this setting is enabled, Prom should appear normally in your calendar again.

    Hi all,

    There are currently two separate issues happening with Prom, to ensure you're posting in the correct thread, please check your in-game calendars to verify if Prom is appearing there or not. 

    If it is NOT appearing in your calendar, please post in the current bug report here: https://forums.ea.com/idea/the-sims-4-bug-reports-en/hsy-prom-disappears-from-calendar/12922185 

    If Prom DOES appear in your calendar, but is not taking place, please read over the accepted solution here to check your in-game settings.

    actually this happened to me with MCCC and without so probably is an error from the sims last update.

    I’ve recently discovered that my Teen Sims no longer have the prom interaction features. Along side that, the prom event does not start. Although, my Teen Sims still get invited to prom hangouts. I’ve removed my mods, repaired my game, and gone completely vanilla and there is still not even an interaction for prom. I love the hsy pack but it is very broken. So, i ask can you please take the time to fix these issues? This isn’t the only issue I’m having with it but it is the most difficult at the moment.

    I play on Xbox, so no mods no cc. My proms won’t trigger either, none of the auditorium events will. There are no calendar events listed, no invites- nothing.
