I bought a potion (twice) used it (twice) and it didn't work. Why?

I bought and used the youth potion for nearly 2,000 simoleons, twice, and it didn't work either time. (I tried a second time to make sure I bought the right one. I had. Why isn't it working??

@Roarofwaterfalls What happened exactly when you drank it ? It's supposed to re-set the current age group to 0.
