I've only just added For Rent to my game, so I'm not sure if this is a bug or an annoying gameplay feature.
Whenever an event pops up in my Rental Residential like the pet adoption or charity gift drive, I can't click the close button that normally ends an event early. It means my actual planned social events can't go ahead because the Rental Residential events last for like 8 hours!
Is this a bug in my game, or are the events designed this way?
Forgot to add, I know I can turn these events off in the settings. But I still want to play them and experience them - I just want to be able to end them early. Especially because the charity gift drive is 8+ hours!!
If anyone else has this issue, I've found that travelling away from the lot during the Rental Residential event ends it so that you can plan your own social event.
I still got the end of charity gift drive notification several in-game hours later, so it seems that the game still recognises that you completed the event.
