I can't go upstairs or downstairs in live mode.

IN build mode it lets me go between floors, but as soon as I enter live mode it won't let me go up or downstairs. I don't have any mods on and I've tried leaving and going back into the game. I don't...

There may perhaps be items nearby that are stopping the sim from going up or down the stairs. Try removing any items nearby such as lights, or wall decorations, or items near the bottom and top of the stairs.
