I can't seem to figure out how to use the new EP.

I'm not sure if it is too early to ask for help but I really hope someone can help me!

I have been waiting for the Businesses & Hobbies expansion pack to come out, so when it did come out I downloaded it immediately. Shouldn't I have a drop down menu to have all of the options to designate certain rooms? Am I doing something wrong? I’ve updated all of my mods, repaired my game, and have tried with multiple different lots.

I've added a picture of a new build and a build from the gallery made by lilsimsie. Neither of them have the option to choose residential, public, or employees only.

    You need to activate the outlines first by clicking on this icon

    Then you click on the room for the menu

    I think many of us feel silly.  I didn't realize I had to select Small Business, in order for my Sim to purchase the new lot I just built for him.  I went round and round and then finally lessons popped up directing me to what I needed. First time I've ever truly appreciated that addition to the game! My Sim and his eldest son now run the Tavern: The Four Cypress.  He didn't make a whole lot that first nine hours; but he's also paying for two employees, his son and the eldest daughter of his best friend 20 Simoleons. It rocks. I had a blast yesterday.  Good luck in getting it all sorted. If all else fails, check out the Lessons.
