I'm a noob and need some tips

Hey, I've been playing this game for a bit now but can't seem to get out of the work/sleep cycle, all i know are the basics, and honestly I'm getting bored, I don't know what to do. Can someone give me tips on how to advance from here?

  • @Stringer2048  Yeah, it's tough playing with new sims since it's pretty much a struggle just to keep them going.  But to break the cycle of eat, sleep and work, you need to work as best as you can on the aspirations to gain aspiration points that you can spend on reward traits so you don't have to struggle so much and can get to doing the fun things.

You can always cheat some too, especially the motives, and that will give you a break from the daily grind from time to time.

    Hope this helps.

  • I'm also new so I feel your pain.

I was surprised when my sim up and died so be warned they have a life span!

I did very little on weekdays and when i needed it I took a vacation day. Work days were hygeine, breakfast and work ( repair your own stuff as you gain skills) after work Id talk to people on the street and if we spoke long enough they would be available as friends to go places at the weekend or would come round in the evening and even have romance.

Weekends were better I met friends, went dancing, played the piano and even had a kiss.  I learned some basic sklls in buying stuff for the home and even some build experience.  Onnce I realised that there are interaction options availble and I could halt and fast forward actions I felt I was in more control. Use your evenings, weekends and vacation time to improve your sim life.

Hope some of it helps and good luck.
