@jpkarlsen, I went back on another trip to the Royal Baths, and everything looked the same (unlike the interior of the temple). I could only find one Tree of Emotions, and it was in the same spot. I must be blind if I can't find the 4 others! 🤨 ☹️
@unseenlarks, I'm afraid of bees and wasps too! 😮 (But at least bees give us honey! ❤️ ) But I agree that the bees in Jungle Adventure are evil! 👿😢 But as your Sims learn more about the Selvadoradian culture, they learn tricks to help mitigate perils that can befall Sims in the jungle! 🙂
Yes, that is the episode I meant! Peter's volcano worked a bit too well! 🤨 :eahigh_file: And those snotty girls deserved it! 😉 Maybe one day you will have time to watch the entire episode.
I had heard of Yerba Mate before, and also Horchata! But I never heard of Espuma Agria. "Espuma" means "foam" or "smoke", doesn't it? Some of my Spanish is rusty! 😳 I was surprised that Jungle Adventure had new drinks! 😎
"Mate Hablador "! 😃 I don't need Mate to talk a lot! 😉:eahigh_file: But it sounds like a good "ice-breaker" at gatherings! I think you might be right in that the Mate in Jungle Adventure might be more like the one you mentioned that is more for one person and uses something like a tea bag instead of the regular way of preparing it. That is so sweet that you have memories of drinking Mate with your Grandma! ❤️ It is interesting to know that some people add milk -- kind of like how they have tea in England! 🙂 In the United States, we usually have our tea without milk. Sometimes we have it with sugar and/or lemon. In the Southern states we prefer it over ice! I like both hot and cold. I knew what you meant by Mate Cocido even before you translated it! Just like in Italian you have "panne cotta" which means "cooked cream" or cookies called "biscotti" which means "twice cooked". 😉
You hadn't mentioned that you are from Argentina! When I was a child, our family had close friends that were from Argentina! The dad of the family was the surgeon who took my tonsils out! It was comforting to know he was the person doing it because I knew he wouldn't let anything happen to me! ❤️
Thank you for clearing up that the Pastel de Palmito that our Sims can order in Selvadorada is has hearts of palm inside! I have looked up some of the other dishes that appear in Jungle Adventure, but I haven't looked up them all yet. I have eaten empanadas before, but this Game Pack has the verde ones which I have never had. I've only had beef, chicken, and pineapple ones (but not all in the same empanada! 😃 ) And about the buñuelos , I had only seen the round ones, but when I looked them up a few days ago, Wikipedia also said they were usually flat in Mexico. Maybe they are different in different regions of Mexico? 🤔 I had always assumed that the ones I had seen were the Mexican ones! See, Jungle Adventure is teaching me a lot of new things! 🥳
An electrical headscarf!?!?! Now I got to Google a picture of that ! 😎 But the head scarves that come with Jungle Adventure are similar to the ribbons and scarves that have come with City Living and Cats & Dogs, and that we have gotten for little girls -- what I mean is that if you have red hair your scarf might be blue, but if you have black hair it might be white, and if you have blonde hair it might be red, etc. There are two head scarves that come with JA. One is a solid color and one has a pattern. There are also some new leggings with patterns on them too! 🙂
In real life I would be extremely nervous about crossing a rope bridge like the one in the game! But the view from the game on that bridge is gorgeous! ❤️
I knew what Feijoada was, but I had never heard of Curanto or Baleada! I'll show you a picture of the game's version below. I noticed clams or scallop shells, as well as potatoes, mussels, sausage, and either chicken or lobster. (It looked like lobster from one direction, and chicken from another!) It sounds delicious! ❤️
The wool Andean caps are adorable! ❤️ Unfortunately they are only for children. There are patterned ones and plain ones. The Sim children look so cute in them! 🥳 I'll show a few pictures in this post, and more in a later post. I will also show you landscape pictures a little later. 😉
They are in the next area of the baths. Unfortunately this seems to be blocked most of the time. Been at the baths several times but only twice have the next area been unblocked. Maybe access is more limited here because the loot is so good there.

@jpkarlsen, oh good! I though I was going crazy or blind! 🤨😃:eahigh_file: Thanks for the information! All nearby gates were blocked for me as well every time I went there. If I ever see that my Sims can access the nearby area, I will certainly check it out! 🥳
