Is it impossible to improve toddler's emotional control?
Is it possible for toddlers to improve their emotional control while they're still a toddler? I'm playing with a toddler with the aggressive trait, and her emotional control is as low as possible. I only just now realized that every time her parent corrected the behavior (asked her not to be mean), it would improve her EMPATHY, not emotional control. So every time she bites or hits, her emotional control goes down, but correction only helps empathy, leaving her emotional control terrible.
I am playing on long lifespan, I don't want to wait until she's a child for her to stop biting constantly, but I don't see anyway to improve emotional control for toddlers. Wind down with classical doesn't appear to be an option for toddlers, toddlers can't use a journal, and parent guidance doesn't help. Is there truly no option to help a toddler with this until they're older?
