Is there an option to upload to gallery but make it private? So, this way only certain people (like friends) can download the shared lots?

There may be other ways but that is one, and how can that be patched out? It can't without it realising it's exactly the same, and even then you could change something miniscule about it to get round it.
I still don't see how this gets around it? Shouldn't plonking the lot down keep the creator name, no matter how much stuff they adjust?
@khitteh You seem to be misunderstanding - what @Coley666 is saying is: they don't adjust the lot that they "plonked" down but rather use it as a floor plan/guide for what they build on a separate lot. They then upload the "new" build which would not have the original creators name because it is just a copy that seems like a whole new build.

So they'd need to painstakingly redecorate it as well.
I mean, that's basically a whole lot of work. Just to steal a floorplan?
