Island Living Fish Trap Not Working

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.80.69.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions except for Get Together & Get To Work, for game packs: Dream Home Decorator, Vampires, Dine Out & Realm Of Magic. Stuff Packs: Nifty Knitting, Tiny Living. Kits: None.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Place 'The Admiral's Fish Trap' (from Island Living expansion) down in one of the Sulani Oceans and try clicking 'Set Trap With Bait..' or 'Set Trap' and if you are using the bait option, select something to put in there. For me, it isn't working.
What happens when the bug occurs? Its almost like the GUI isn't working so that I can select 'Empty Trap' or 'Check Trap', I have to continuously set the trap, and it still doesn't work.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see the trap set, with 'Check Trap' and 'Empty Trap' as options.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

In a way, this affects my gameplay aswell. Due to me trying to make money from catching the fish.

    @SlothPers0n So when you click check trap you don' get a notification ? Did you test another lot/save ?

    So you set the trap with bait, it takes the bait and runs the animation, then when you click on it again to check it, it says "Set Trap" and "Set Trap with Bait..." as if you never set the trap?

    Have you tried reloading the lot or the game to see if that corrects it?

    I've been setting where I always set it, so not a problem there. I am seeing the animation aswell.

    Do you get any routing failures, or are you able to do the animation? If the trap is near where the fish are, there's a chance it's too deep to properly set the trap.

    When I placed the trap in the middle of where the fish are visible, I've failed to set the trap twice out of five times due to routing failures.

    Hi Crin, not able to get any screenshots, but I have the option, when I click it, nothing happens. I go to click it again to see if it worked, and option is still there.

    I'm using the little island lot in Mua Pel'Am 40x30 lot. Only yesterday the trap worked. And yes, I've tried many times with fish and plants, it takes the bait from my inventory. Im placing the trap where the fishing area is, where fish are in a bit in the water, near opposite from the 'free dive' buoy.

    Which lot are you on, and where abouts are you trying to place the traps? Are you setting the traps with bait? If so, what are you using, and does the game "take" the bait from you when it fails to set the trap?

    I'm trying to replicate the issue, but the traps seem to be working in the Key Point lot for me currently. I'll keep playing around with it.

    @SlothPers0n do you not have the check trap interaction ? What exactly doesn't work ? Do you not catch anything ?

    Could you maybe add some pictures ?
