Issue placing lots from Gallery and other problems

I have the same problem my game is 64 bit and i down loaded university with no problem but of course the update patch for university broke all the mods. I just got done on Feb 10th fixing all my mods updating them making sure none were out dated and there is no Corrupted files nor any conflicts with my mods...i also repaired the game it seems every time i download a new game i have to do that.I click to start my game and it wouldn't go for an hour i kept on clicking the play button and it kept on saying i had to download the legacy Addition in order to play my game  so i tried it with no mods at all vanilla game wouldn't start the game....OK i down loaded it and it let me play my game, my sim went to the university had a ball everything was fine i place some new homes, businesses, gym etc.... til NOW today Feb 22 my place button on the gallery is gone, i can no longer place a sim, house, business anything in my game, yesterday it was fine i saved my sim to the gallery and placed a new home for him....I love my sims 4 but maxis just seems to come up with crap like this it's bad enough we buy there games and of course like the realm of magic game didn't even work broke the other games so vampires, mermaids and pets was screwed up even broke your other saves you had and of course they had taken there sweet old time to come up with a content patch to fix it. Every pack they come out with is just getting worse each time and now there forcing people to get the legacy edition or you can't play it at all. I will never buy another pack from them again there are so many people disgusted with maxis, there not about the game any more they just see $$$$$$$$ that is what there aiming for...I love my sims 3 and maxis can't screw that up anymore that is what i will be playing for now on it's a lot more fun....

    @chiastallon  I've split your post out of the Legacy Edition master thread, since you don't run the LE and don't seem to need it; moved your post to the general discussion and feedback section; and changed the title of the thread to reflect your own content.

    For the Gallery issue, maybe someone here can help.  The same goes for any other problems you'd like to troubleshoot, although more details would be helpful.  As for the feedback on the state of the game, this is the proper section for it.

    @chiastallon I'm sorry for your frustration. I hope we can figure out what's going on in your game quickly! Can I please clarify a few things?

    As @puzzlezaddict mentioned, can we assume you are not running the Legacy Edition on your game? I wasn't positive from your wording, but since you state that you are playing Discover University on your game, and Discover University does not play on the Legacy Edition, I am assuming you are not using it.

    You said that you removed your Mods to play on a vanilla game. Can I please also clarify that you removed your cache, that the Mods and CC are not currently in your game, and that you ran a game repair after removing them? If any of these things are not true, can you please do the following for me in order to eliminate some possibilities as possible issues in this case? ( To begin our troubleshooting.) Please click the spoiler tag to read directions.

    Please try the following in this exact order without skipping any steps, even if you’ve done some of these steps already:

    • Exit your game then exit Origin. Drag the Mods folder from your 'The Sims 4' folder onto your desktop (for future reference) then delete the localthumbnailcache.package file in your 'The Sims 4' folder. Also delete any other folders in the 'Sims 4' folder with word cache in the name. (When you restart the game it will automatically create a new Mods folder.)
    • Next please run a game repair [ Open Origin, click 'Game Library' then right-click Sims 4 > Repair Game ]. Make sure to let it run until it has completed all repairs (it will do the base-game first, then run through each of your expansions/packs).

    Do not re-add any or your Mods or CC at this time. Please then restart your game and do not enter your previous game-save but begin a new game. See if the issue is present in this new game-save.

    If this fixes the issue you can re-add your Mods/CC one at a time to see which were conflicting with the function/causing the glitch - but do not re-add the old config file from the old mods folder, as it is possible for it to have become corrupted. If you have a lot of Mods or CC you can do so by via the 50/50 method. Let me know if you need directions on this.

    Please then let us know the results so we know what the next step should be. Thank you!
