Keep lot settings even if they don't meet requirements / better warning message

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.62.69.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Dine Out
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Remove a required restaurant item from a restaurant lot (like a waiter station)
What happens when the bug occurs? All the employees are lost. The menu may be lost too, I didn't check.
What do you expect to see? Keep employees and other restaurant settings and don't allow you to open the restaurant. or, warn that you will lose them.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

My restaurant toilet broke so I took it home for a different Sim to repair. It asked if I was sure I wanted to return to normal mode, but didn't say I'd lose my whole restaurant; I assumed I would not be able to OPEN it until I put the needed item back. I didn't realize all the employees got fired and kept playing, so I lost about three hours of gameplay (real time) before I came back and discovered I had to recover save.

    Hi,

    I have never experienced this problem and don't have the dine out expansion pack but I heard that it happens in cats and dogs as well. You mentioned that it asked you if you wanted to return to normal mode, maybe by clicking yes you relinquished ownership of the restaurant because you disabled the expansion pack. You should try closing the restaurant, moving something again and pressing no to see what happens, if there is no way to move something and still have your restaurant then try inviting the sim over to the restaurant and fixing it there.
