Hi all, if there is someone here who can explain to me if it is a bug or am I doing something wrong 😅So I grounded my child Sim for constantly making a mess, and it was the "no phone for a day" punishment. The problem is that my child Sim is constantly tense since she says "I might get caught any minute" for breaking grounding. The problem is that I do not see er at all using the phone, so I have no idea why is she tense or is the option broken. She keeps losing responsibility due to it.

Does this happen only when using the "no phone for a day" punishment or also with other punishments?

@EeveeTinn Yeah, that's what the moodlet says, but the reason she got the moodlet in the 1st place is because she got grounded. I think that the moodlet is just poorly worded and the meaning is more or less that the child is tense because she wants to use her phone and can't because she is grounded and knows if she does, that there will be consequences. There are other moodlets that are similar where the wording doesn't quite match the situation.Hope this helps.

@EeveeTinn A lot of the moodlets are like that. They are on timers of a sort and the time until the moodlet expires is shown at the bottom. The one in your 1st pic says it will be there for 13 hours. The one in the 2nd pic says there is 52 minutes remaining. So, once you get one it will stay active until the time shown at the bottom passes. That is normal. Most moodlets are fairly short lived, in minutes or a few hours but some will hang around for quite a while like this grounded one. The one that you get for mourning a death will last for 2 full days. I think that is the longest one. All you can do is ride them out until the timer expires.Hope this helps.

@CGrant56 I understand that yeah. But she is tense because she is breaking her grounding, and she is not doing that. She was not using her phone at all, and yet she was reprimanded and was tense, so the tense moodlet for the breaking was constantly reseting

@CGrant56 ah - do you maybe know if it happens with other type of punishments? I have not tested it since I was not home. Maybe it is poorly worded, which is why I first wrote here, since it just does not make sense that she gets reprimanded for breaking the rules, when she is not breaking them. If it is poorly worded, then I don't know why would she be reprimanded by all her family for breaking the grounding :/

I don't know if there are other punishments that generate that type of moodlet. Tbh, I don't punish my kids simply because I don't let them do all that much. The younger ages are not my thing so I just get through toddler and child as fast as I can and keep them working on the aspirations and skills 24/7 until they complete them and age them up (Yeah, I cheat the motives to max and set them so they don't decay with the debug cheats 😃).

@CGrant56 Ahahah, no I understand. This is my first time doing it since I devoted myself to a Legacy challenge, so I am trying not to rush for the first time ever 😅 I will try to see next time it can be prompted and test it

Have now tested with no computer and no TV and the "breaking grounding" moodlet does not appear. I even had the child sit and eat in the living room where the TV was on, but since she technically did not watch it, there was no moodlet. The only time where the moodlet appeared was when she took a tablet to read an e-book, but as soon as I cancelled the interaction, the moodled was gone in 54 sim minutes.
Still have to test other punishments, but so far only the "no phone" one gives the constant "breaking grounding" moodlet and getting reprimanded
