So I've discovered today that rooms with ladders to the outside act as if they're outside and no lights will turn on, leaving my sim in darkness. I don't really want to wall in the top of the ladder, does anyone know a workaround?
I just discovered this today too, and it's odd that lights don't work because it's "outside," they should at least let lights that go on walls work.
I usually wall in the bottom of my stairs/ladder when I want roof access (or a walk out basement). Basically make an outdoor stairwell (or ladder).
