I placed the Maxis Libraries from the Gallery into Oasis Springs and Newcrest while designing a new layout for a new game. My test sim was unable to find books in the cases in any of the libraries I placed. I thought it may have been a problem with the cases while placing the lot, so I replaced all the cases in each library that was added. I still have empty book cases. I tried all 3(?) maxis library lots with no luck. The only library to have books in the one that is set by the game.I would really like to have libraries in each town. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.No mods/cc at time of creation or testing only maxis lots used.

Hello.Did you try going into bulld/buy mode in the library and selling one of the bookcases, then buying another bookcase? That should make all the other bookcases in the library have books in them . Try going to the library that contains books , and enter build mode. Use the wall tool to create a room with contains one of the bookcases that contain skill books. Save the room to your library. Then go to the other libraries , enter build mode and place the room that has the bookcase into the library.If the issues remain, repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair. Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then add back the "options.ini" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders.

Did you try going to the library that contains the books, and making a room that contains the skill books bookcase, like i posted in the above post? If you haven't , try doing that and see if it helps. Place the room into one of the libraries and test to see if it helps.Also start a new save game file, and test to see if the same issue occurs.

Hello Rosemow,I have managed to get working libraries in each town now thanks to you! I slightly altered the child's room in the working library, adding only a Junior Wizard starter set to. Saving the room and adding it to the other libraries has worked.Again, Thank you!

You only need one for the skill books to spawn in all the library shelves.

I haven't had the issue but I usually replace WB's Quad Manor with a Restaurant, since there aren't any skill books in it.

This is a very cool Plan B.

I know this problem was solved, something I do so that I have a lot of different books in my libraries is have my sims buy books at home, leave them in their inventory, travel to the library and have them place those books into the library bookcases.

Take the bookcase out of the room and place it wherever you would like to have the bookcase in the library. You can then delete the room.
